What is Christianity
Christians are people who believe in and live in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Christianity is not a ‘religion’ (rather it was never meant to be).
Religion is man's attempt to reach God or earn eternity by his own means. Christians believe that no-one is good enough to ‘earn’ their way into a relationship with God. However, through repentance and faith in there can be a restored relationship between God and Man.

Well as simple as A B C ...
A - Admit that we are sinners
Rom 3:23 "...For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"B - Believe that Jesus is our Saviour
1 John 5:1 "Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God"C - Confess our sins to God in prayer
1John 1:8-9 "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."D - Decide to turn our backs on sin
Acts 3:19 "Repent then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out."
E - Express our desire to follow Jesus
Acts 2:38 "Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit"

Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, I know I have sinned in my thoughts, words and actions. I am sorry for my sins and I choose to turn away from everything I know to be wrong. I believe that you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross in my place and rose again three days later. Gratefully I give my life back to you. Come in as my Saviour to cleanse me. Come in as my Lord to control me. And I will serve you and your followers all the remaining years of my life.
